Local Authors
Jodé Millman -
Multi-award-winning mystery author of the true-crime inspired “The
Queen City Crimes” Series, which has won Clue Awards, the Independent
Publisher Award, and have been Finalists for the Silver Falchion and
Daphne Du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense. She’s an IP
attorney, reviewer for Booktrib.com, and creator of The Writer’s Law
School. Jodé lives with her family in the Hudson Valley, where she is at
work on her next legal thriller.
Alison Gaylin -
USA Today and international bestselling author who has won the Edgar
and Shamus awards. Her short stories have been chosen for Best American
Mysteries and Suspense and Best Mystery Stories of the Year, and her
books have been nominated for numerous awards, including the Strand Book
Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, the ITW Thriller Award and the
Anthony and Macavity awards. In addition to her own books, she has the
honor of writing Robert B. Parker’s Sunny Randall series.
Carol Goodman -
New York Times Bestselling author of twenty-seven novels, including The
Lake of Dead Languages, The Seduction of Water, which won the 2003
Hammett Prize, The Widow’s House, which won the 2018 Mary Higgins Clark
Award, and The Night Visitors, which won the 2020 Mary Higgins Clark
Award. For over twenty years, she has taught creative writing at The
New School and SUNY New Paltz and offered private classes, book
coaching, and editorial services to writers in fiction and memoir.
