What happens when good stories and young actors collide? If you're interested in acting, stage crew or program design, this is a great beginning.

Casting for roles in : Goldilocks and the Three Bears retold by Jan Brett Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs retold by Mo Willems
Players in nursery rhymes during intermission.

Carolyn Thorenz was a writer and editor for newspapers and magazines. She has been part of the RCLS family for over 8 years. A Children's Program Coordinator at Wallkill Public Library for much of that time, she facilitated story times, children's and teen programs. Among a variety of activities, Carolyn staged an original production of Typhoid Mary and ran an improv. program and Magic Tree House Club at the Wallkill Public Library.



Music With Miss Amy
Fridays July 12 - August 2

A $10 deposit is required to reserve a spot and balance is due the first day of class.


Music With Miss Amy is a music and movement class for children up to four years old with their caregiver. Classes will include song time, finger plays, bouncing rhymes, instruments, puppets and a lot of fun!


Harmony
A Musical Yoga Experience for Children 3-6 yrs.

*This is a without parent class. (If your child needs you to stay in the beginning that is okay.)

Miss Amy will lead this four session series that will include exploring yoga postures, calming exercises, singing, playing musical instruments, dramatic play and more!


College Essay Writing With Flori Doyle
Mondays July 15, July 22, & July 29
5:00 - 8:00 PM

$150 for 3 week series
Pre-register by July 8

Learn an effective way to manage the personal essay for your college applications and get started through a variety of exercises and writing activities with the focus on you. After completing this three part workshop participants will be well on their way to completing an essay they are proud of and that reflects who they are.

Flori Doyle taught high school English and drama for 29 years. In addition to teaching 12th grade English and a variety of senior electives, including AP Literature, Flori is well-experienced with the college essay process. Her enthusiasm for writing includes memoir writing, playwriting, as well as teaching the research paper. Flori earned a BFA from Ithaca College (acting-directing) and a Masters in Teaching from Manhattanville College. Flori has taught writing workshops at Bard College and Purchase College.


Monopoly Game Making Day
